The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled trophy for the first-ever women's exhibition matches during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) season. 

Two teams - Amazon and Super Women - will lock horns in three-match series during the ongoing PSL 8. 

Amazon will be led by former Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof whereas Nida Dar, a potential candidate for Pakistan's captaincy, will lead Super Women. 

Three matches will be played on March 8, 10 and 11 in Rawalpindi. 

The two captains met on Monday to unveil the trophy. In pictures shared by the PCB, Nida, and Bismah posed with the glittering accolade. 

On Monday, women cricketers, who reached Islamabad on Sunday, started training at Islamabad Cricket Club. Bangladesh's cricketer Jahanara Alam also practiced today.

Other foreign players, who arrived today, took rest from training. Under the leadership of captains Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar, squads of Amazons and Super Women trained hard.

Players took part in batting, bowling and fielding drills. National stars including Fatima Sana, Kainat Imtiaz and others were seen in action during the training.

As many as 10 foreign players have been signed for the exhibition matches.

Amazons will feature Ireland’s Laura Delany, England’s trio of Danni Wyatt, Maia Bouchier and Tammy Beaumont, and Australia’s Tess Flintoff. Meanwhile, Super Women will comprise Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu, Lauren Winfield-Hill of England, Jahanara Alam of Bangladesh, South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt and Lea Tahuhu of New Zealand.

Same technology will be used to broadcast women's matches which will go live on A Sports and PTV Sports. Also, livestreaming for viewers across the world will be available on PCB and PSL YouTube channels.
